Every year several highly rated pro prospects fail to get invitations to the NFL Combine that entertain over 330+ potential pro players for interviews and positional workouts. This year is no different with several talented prospects being snubbed at the biggest job interview for NFL hopefuls. The NFL Combine committee does a good job annually assembling the talent pool, but nevertheless they miss on several highly valued athletes for the six day event. Dallas Cowboys nose tackle Jay Ratliff ended up playing in his first Pro Bowl this month, He was not invited to the NFL Combine 2005 and was selected in the last round by Dallas - 7th round. He is one of many prospects who not only made an NFL squad but started and excelled in the right pro setting. Top draft selections not invited to the past five NFL Combines above.

Florida St. cornerback/return specialist Michael Ray Garvin will be one of the top athletes missing in Indy this week despite being an All American in two sports for the Seminoles - football and track. As a senior, he led the nation in kickoff returns, in addition to starting over 20 career games at cornerback for the tough FSU defense. He is an explosive athlete who combines not only world class speed, but running skills, football instincts and toughness to start in two roles for the talented FSU football team.
Garvin will get his opportunity to showcase his top speed and athletic ability at the Florida St pro day in March that will be attended by all 32 NFL teams and many high front office executive and evaluators.
