1. Florida - 13-1
Like we said in September, the nation's best team that probably takes the entire season to prove to the nation and voters.
2. Utah - 13-0
The Utes finished with the only unblemished record and have the right to claim national title.
3. Texas - 12-1
They deserved BCS title game after whippin Oklahoma easily in October.
4. Southern Cal - 12-1
Finished very strong and would love a playoff system to challenge for title .
5. Oklahoma - 12-2
Sooners gave a strong effort but came up short in title game.
6. Alabama - 12-2
Crimson Tide lost their final two games that pushes them down the rankings.
7. Texas Christian - 11-2
Tough club with their only two losses vs top five clubs, Oklahoma and Utah.
8. Penn St. - 11-2
They got drilled by Southern Cal on New Year's Day.
9. Oregon - 10-3
The high scoring Ducks finished nicely with win over Oklahoma St.
10. Georgia - 10-3
Bulldogs won big over Michigan St. o New Year's day.
11. Texas Tech - 11-2
Red Raiders defense keeps them out of the top ten clubs after pounding in Cotton Bowl matchup vs Ole Miss.
12. Ohio St - 10-3
Buckeyes lost all three games vs top ten clubs.
13. Boise St - 12-1
They lost a tough bowl game vs an underrated TCU club that pushes them out of top ten teams.
14. Mississippi - 9-4
Ole Miss was the only club to beat Florida this season.
15. Virginia Tech - 9-4
The Hokies know how to win the games they are suppose to with victory over Cincinnati in bowl contest.
16. Oklahoma St. - 9-3
The Cowboys high powered attack makes them one of the nation's most exciting clubs to watch.

Frank Coyle is a longtime Member of the FWAA and voter in College team and player awards - Heisman, Outland, Nagurski, Thorpe, etc. He is a voter for the Super 16 College Team Polls throughout the season that will present Grantland Rice award to the national champion in January '09. He is also a voter for Players of the Week and for the FWAA All-American teams at the conclusion of each season.
