LSU Holds on to #1 Ranking while Kansas moves to #2
Oregon and Oklahoma fall out of Top 5
Team of the Week – Arizona
Frank Coyle - Head Scout - Draft Insiders
The college football top 25 rankings continue an amazing season with additional major changes. Another #2 rated club, Oregon falls from their high ranking when they fell to a fired up Arizona club. LSU remains in the #1 spot and in the best position for a BCS berth with a strong finish. Oklahoma was another top 5 club that tasted defeat at the hands of the explosive Texas Tech club. Ohio St. rebounded from last week’s loss and beat arch-rival Michigan that guarantees them a Rose Bowl berth. Kansas and Hawaii remain the only undefeated clubs at this point of the season. The top 10 teams shuffled once again with Kansas moving into the deadly #2 spot that has seen numerous clubs fall shortly after that high rating. The former top ranked club, Ohio St gets back into the top 5 position and looks to create a major matchup to compete for the national title.
Oregon lost to Arizona and fell in the rankings, in addition to watching star QB Dennis Dixon go down with a season ending knee injury. The injury will also most likely end Dixon‘s Heisman award aspirations.
