Pro Prospects Peterson,Ginn and Brennan Expected to Declare Today for NFL Draft
The NFL’s deadline for underclassmen to declare for the NFL Draft ’07 is today at 4pm. Several star players have waited to the last minute to announce their intentions. Running back Adrian Peterson of Oklahoma and wideout/return specialist Ted Ginn of Ohio St. are both expected to announce their intentions to join the pro ranks this spring. Both players are top 10 prospects and will have a strong bearing on the early selections. Two QBs, Brian Brohm of Louisville and Colt Brennan of Hawaii also waited to the last day to make their decisions. Brohm announced he will return for their senior season where he will be two of the leading candidates for the Heisman Trophy next fall. Brennan surprised NFL scouts when he announced he will declare for the NFL Draft '07.
The following is a list of underclassmen who are eligible to declare for the 2007 NFL Draft. While many players have made their intentions known, there is nothing official until the Jan. 15 deadline to declare. This list is subject to change with players having up to three days after the declaration date to rescind their decision and retain their eligibility. Players are listed alphabetically by position.
