NFL Supplemental Draft 2010

Pro Prospects Unga and Brent-Price Selected in Supplemental Draft

The NFL conducted the Supplemental Draft 2010 on Thursday, July 15th with two players, Harvey Unga and Josh Brent-Price being selected in the 7th round. The Bears used a 7th round selection on runner Harvey Unga of BYU while the Cowboys chose DT Josh Brent-Price also in the same round. Unga can be a fine compliment to the deep Chicago backfield that includes starter Matt Forte and talented 1A type Chester Taylor. Unga gives them a fine short yardage goal line runner and a prospect with the upside to push for extensive playing time after settling into the Bears offense. DT Brent-Price is a wide body tackle with nice athleticism, but limited playing college time. He can win a backup role as a nose tackle in this 3-4 scheme, one of the positions Dallas has only marginal depth and talent. He can make this roster, but faces an adjustment to 3-4 scheme and could land on the PS if he needs more development then they expected.
