For a pro prospect to meet the NFL’s eligibility requirement, he must be three years removed from high school and submit a written application to renounce his remaining college football eligibility. This includes redshirt sophomores, true juniors and fourth year juniors. The deadline for underclassmen to declare is Jan. 15, 2014. Afterwards, there is a three day period to rescind that and regain their college eligibility if they have not signed with an agent.
